The first thing i'd like to stress to any prospective employers is that i extremely an honest, hard working diligent reliable individual with much enthusiasm to bring to the table. Having successfully obtained in 2007 an Honours Bachelors Degree in Biochemistry, I have further achieved a Masters degree in Biotechnology in November 2008. I am currently seeking an entry level position in this field. My laboratory experience has given me a range of diverse skills such as; Gel Electrophoresis (SDS PAGE); Immunoassay; Plant Tissue Culture; Bacterial Culture; Plant Inoculation with Bacteria, Water Analytical Chemistry techniques such as endpoint titrations for alkalinity, hardness, spectrophotometric techniques such as total nitrogen/phosphorous etc, Atomic Adsorbtion spectrophometry, moisture and suspended solids content, BODs, CODs etc

Acorn Water - Laboratory analyst
Presently i am doing up to 9 months work experience in a water chemistry lab doing various tests which are outlined in my CV. This has also given me some experience with method validation. The most common tests i do are Alkalinity, hardness, nitrates, ph, conductivity, BODs, total phosphorous and total nitrogen tests.
Schering Plough - QC Analyst
Work Experience in Schering Plough in the QC Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry and Bioassay departments. Became familiar with HPLC/ELISA testing, IEF, Cell culture Growth, harvest, filtration product capture,ultra filtration, media and buffer preparation, Cleanroom gowning and in-process support.
Aseptic sampling of loop water points, Water testing for Total Viable Counts and Coliforms, A wide range of Biological assays in a cGMP environment.
