JP Morgan - Managing Director

Gary Fournier's business prowess first became apparent when he accepted a position as the youngest Partner in the history of White Weld & Co., a Massachusetts-based investment banking firm. Gary Fournier ran the firm's Century City, California office until 1978, when the company was sold to Merrill Lynch & Co. Following the sale, Gary R. Fournier served as a Partner at the Los Angeles office of Kidder, Peabody, & Co. While there, he directed the first over-the-counter shelf registration in the United States.

In 1993, Paine Webber & Co. bought out Kidder; Gary Fournier left the company and accepted a Senior Vice President role at Smith Barney LLC. He remained in this role until 2001, when he rejoined Paine Webber as Senior Vice President. In this position, he directed over $1 billion of assets for a variety of clients, which made him Paine Webber's largest broker in the United States. In 2005, the Union Bank of Switzerland bought Paine Webber. In 2006, Gary R. Fournier, unhappy with the new direction the firm was taking, decided to leave the company. He joined the Bear Stearns Companies, Inc., which JP Morgan bought shortly thereafter.

Outside of his professional life, Gary Fournier enjoys supporting charities. He has hosted several fundraisers and dinners for The Center for Learning Unlimited in Torrance, California. In addition, he donates to a variety of other charitable institutions, including the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy in Rolling Hills, California, and the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
