Travel Demand Modeling
• Applied regression analysis to forecast travel demands based on land use, population and social-economic attributes of residents.
• Developed and calibrated transportation mode choice model using multinomial logit regression.
Traffic Count Database Management
• Created a traffic count database storing the traffic count data from 100 stations on Georgia400.
• Automation of data extraction, data aggregation and report generation from traffic count database.
Benchmarking Microscopic Car-following Models
• Developed a nonlinear model to describe single driver’s car-following behavior.
• Validated and calibrated the model against the real data using heuristic optimization algorithm.
• Evaluated the new model’s performance and compared it with other well-established car-following models based on their measures of goodness-of-fit to the real data.
