Buddy G. Adams

An active member of the Hampton Roads community, Buddy Gadams has renovated and restored several landmark buildings throughout Norfolk, Virginia. The President of Marathon Development Group, Inc., he has constructed numerous urban, multi-use properties since he founded the firm in 2001. Focusing on residential projects such as apartments and condominiums, as well as office and retail spaces, Buddy Gadams has strategically combined modern and historical elements to maintain Norfolk's unique character.

Over the last 12 years, Buddy Gadams has invested $85 million in a series of residential projects and plans to spend approximately $50 million on his two current projects. Among numerous other achievements, he has converted a building constructed in 1907 into 16 luxury condominiums and has transformed the former Ames and Brownley Department Store, built in 1932, into loft apartments. Today, Mr. Gadams is working on Norfolk's East Beach Marina Apartments and East Beach Harbor Apartments.
