Medical Examiner Dr. Bruce P. Levy is a physician, pathologist and businessman with an interest in forensic medicine, medical informatics and medical management. Dr. Levy received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his Doctor of Medicine Degree from New York Medical College. He did his postgraduate training at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office. He is board certified by the American Board of Pathology in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology and forensic pathology. After gaining experience working as a medical examiner in New York, Dr. Bruce Levy served as the Chief Medical Examiner for Nashville and Tennessee from 1997 until 2010. Dr. Levy pioneered complete privatization of medical examiner offices, which started in Nashville and extended to cover two states.
