Chase Travel and Tours - Operations Manager

Reporting directly to the company directors, I am responsible for the operations, product, customer service, and groups departments, as well as other miscellaneous roles within the company. Chase Travel is an online accommodation wholesaler, used in 10 different countries on 4 different continents by 26,000 agents. As head of operations, it is my duty to ensure product quality, opportunity viability, customer satisfaction and agent satisfaction. My role is an all inclusive role with input into HR, operations, sales, and product development. Primarily responsible for ISO 9002 certification for the company. Introduced the CANI initiative (Continuous and Never-ending Improvement), which was implemented by all departments and turned basic administrative staff into profit making departments. Well regarded in the travel trade throughout the US, Ireland, UK and France, through conferences such as Pow Wow, ITB, and WTM.

One of the initial 4 starting employees of Tour America, starting as a reservations agent, moving into operations manager role, and eventually moving into the office manager position before leaving. Managed 40 staff with responsibilities in every department. Contracted accommodation and setup the airline consolidation department whereby Tour America acted as consolidator for Continental, Delta, and US Airways airlines. Also responsible for all other contracted airlines such as BA, Virgin, KLM, and Air France. Represented the company in court when required. Responsible for complaint resolution. Managed local representatives in the US for client arrivals. Assisted in the organisation of local trade show for Irish clients. Played instrumental role in the development of Cruise Holidays as a subsidiary of Tour America.
