An oil expert and seasoned negotiator, Baldo Sanso recently served in the Ministry of Energy and Oil with Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA), the country’s state-owned petroleum company. Sanso functioned in this capacity for six years, assisting PDVSA’s President and Minister in the capital of Caracas. During this time, he oversaw the Carabobo Project, organized bidding for several reservoirs, and spearheaded a variety of mergers, acquisitions, and special financing projects. Baldo Sanso also worked as a Strategy Consultant with Bain & Company at the same time he was engaged with PDVSA. Operating from Milan and Rome, Sanso managed an array of projects in Italy intended to improve operations at both public and private entities, such as automotive, financial, insurance, and tobacco companies.
