Education

PhD/Doctorate

My pre-doctoral training is in molecular and cellular biology. My post-doctoral training includes structural biology, chemoinformatics and computer-aided drug design.

My goal is to discover and develop at least one novel therapeutic drug.

Anthony Chubb's Professional Experience

2010 - Present

University College Dublin - PhD Programme Manager

I am currently managing the IRCSET funded GREP PhD Programme in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology (http://bioinfo-casl.ucd.ie/PhD/).
I also have an interest in chemoinformatics and computer-aided drug discovery, focussing on novel therapeutics for neglected infectious diseases. We are building a massively parallel virtual screening facility based on donated screensaver CPU time and open-source software to discover novel anti-malarial drugs (www.fight-malaria.org).
